Terms

Terms of use

Last updated 16 October 2026

These terms apply to the Edison Nova pilot, provided by Edison WS Oy (Business ID 3470364-4, Kehruutie 1 / LH1, 00410 Helsinki, Finland). By using Nova, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what happens to your data.

A service in pilot

Nova is still being developed, and the pilot is by invitation only. Features may change, be added or be removed during the pilot. We don't guarantee that the service is available, fast or free of errors, or that your work is preserved. Backups are for restoring the service, not a personal archive for you, so keep your own copy of anything that matters (in Nova: Publish → Download files).

Your content

The texts, images and websites you create remain yours. You are responsible for having the right to use any content you add, and for what you choose to publish.

During the pilot, use only content you're happy to have tested: a made-up site or a site for your own project, your own photos, or text you could publish anyway. Don't use confidential customer material, other people's personal data or anything secret. Edison staff who run the service can technically read your drafts, images and messages to Nova.

AI-generated content

Nova uses AI to suggest designs and text, and to create images if you choose to. Suggestions may contain mistakes, so always review the content before publishing, especially facts, prices, translations and specialist terms. You decide which changes Nova makes are accepted. AI-generated images are labelled “AI” in your image library and in exports; check that they suit your purpose before you publish them.

Exporting and publishing

Nova doesn't publish anything by itself. You can download your saved site as a ZIP of static files at any time. If you want your site published, ask us and Edison staff will put it online by hand. Exported sites are static: forms and other features that need a server don't work.

Free usage and pricing

Pilot users get a limited amount of free usage to try Nova. AI use has daily cost limits, so you may have to wait until the next day if a limit is reached. Pricing will be announced later, and we will tell you before any charges apply.

Fair use

Please don't use Nova to create unlawful, harmful or misleading content, or in ways that disrupt the service for others. We may limit or end access if these terms are broken.

End of access and of the pilot

You can leave the pilot at any time by writing to support@edison.ws. When the pilot ends, we'll tell you in good time so you can download your work. We may end your access earlier if these terms are broken. After the pilot, we delete pilot data as described in the privacy policy.

Liability

Nova is provided free of charge during the pilot, as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, Edison WS Oy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, business interruption or lost or corrupted data, caused by using Nova or being unable to use it. Our total liability for the pilot is limited to EUR 100.

These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and they do not restrict any rights you have under mandatory law, such as consumer protection or data protection law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We'll first try to settle any disagreement by talking it through. If that doesn't work, disputes are resolved in the Helsinki District Court. If you use Nova as a consumer, you can also take the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta) or to your own local district court.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Nova develops and will let you know about important changes. Pilot support: support@edison.ws. Other questions: website@edison.ws.
